Stomal Therapy Services
NSW Stoma Ltd recognises the importance of regular contact with an experienced Stomal Therapy Nurse (STN). Therefore, we have employed the skills of STN Anne Marie Lyons who has over 30 years of experience in nursing, 20 of them in the area of Stomal Therapy.
NSW Stoma recommends you see an STN annually to review your skin and ensure your present product is the most suitable.
Reasons to see a Stomal Therapist include:
-
-
- leakage
- Sore skin
- Hernia support/management
- Irrigation
- Poor adhesion of your product
- Emotional support
- Information on new products and trialling of new products
- Diet and exercise
- General follow-up
-
Ideally, you should see your own Stomal Therapy nurse. If that option is not available to you or is no longer convenient The NSW Stomal Therapy clinic is available free to all our members.
The clinic operates on the 1st 3 Thursdays of each month from 11am – 1pm. Anne Marie is also available for telephone and email consultations.
